Self-powered fans, based on thermoelectrics are intended for use with non-powered tent heaters. The fan itself is self-powered; when placed on a heater surface, it converts a small amount of heat energy directly into electricity. It operates very quietly, moving air downward over the heater and distributing heat more evenly throughout the tent. The fan improves performance by distributing warmth throughout a larger area.
Save On Fuel Consumption
The increased comfort allows the fuel feed to be lowered, thereby saving a substantial amount of fuel. Based on tests by the U.S. Army, the fan has been shown to reduce fuel feed to the heater by 44% while maintaining the same temperatures within the space. According to one Army estimate, a single fan can save hundreds of gallons of fuel annually depending climate and usage. In most climates, the fan pays for itself in less than one season in fuel savings alone.
The power generating system for the fan has no moving parts and is inherently very reliable. The unit is rugged and durable with a motor rated for heavy-duty operation. A wire grill on top prevents accidental contact with rotating fan blades. A separate shipping/storage container is included with each unit.
